net.hk domain name requirements - Hong Kong company

Registrants from Hong Kong will have to show a copy of their Business Registration Certificate from the Inland Revenue Department of the Government of HKSAR or a Certificate of Registration of Overseas Company from the Companies Registry of the HKSAR Government. If domain name contains 'bank', 'insurance', 'assurance' or related words a certified copy of the written consent issued by the Insurance Authority or the Monetary Authority with respect to your domain name is required.

How to recover a registered NET.HK domain

We get our fair share of questions from companies how to recover a domain name from someone else. If your domain is taken, and you have a trademark right to the name, then here is the dispute policy for net.hk.

If you cannot negotiate with the current registrant, then you have to submit an official complaint showing evidence that: (i) the Domain Name is identical or confusingly similar to your trademark or service mark in Hong Kong; and (ii) the registrant has no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the Domain Name; and (iii) The Domain Name has been registered and is being used in bad faith. You must prove that all of these three elements are present. All arbitral fees shall be paid by the Complainant

If the Arbitration Panel decides that the Domain Name registration should be cancelled or transferred, ten business days will pass after the decision before it can be implemented.
