Documentation if your company is located in China

 

If your company is located in China we need:

  1. CN_RegistrationForm.pdf (will be send to you). This must contain the seal of the business OR signature of a representative from the business.
  2. Copy of the Company Business License
  3. Copy of the Company Organization Code Document
  4. Chinese Registrant's personal ID document (this can be the driver's license or Chinese passport).
 

One of the following documents below is also required:

 

ICP license permit (domain must first pass the auditing process before applying for this permit)
This is a permit issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to allow websites to operate in China. CNNIC requires this permit in order to activate a successfully audited .CN domain name application. The Chinese authorities have the right to shut down any website that fails to obtain one or have it renewed. Any entity that has a website within China must therefore apply for this ICP permit and will then be provided with the permit document if successful, clearly showing their ICP number. This number is often displayed on the bottom of the entity's website to indicate compliance.

 

Exemption Documents
If a Registrant is not registered in China's MIIT ICP Recording system, the domain name will remain on the status "serverhold" (not active in the DNS). This status will remain until the registrant is able to provide a copy of the ICP permit (above) or one of two exemption criteria are met (see below) and a written declaration to that effect included in the application. Ascio will then in turn submit the number to CNNIC. CNNIC will reset the status to "OK
