When will you charge me for a registration?
You will be charged when we have verified the order. In the case that a domain cannot be registered we will refund you the amount (- bank charges), or you can choose to register another domain instead. Please make sure to check domain requirements before submitting an order to ensure that you are allowed to register the domain.
.XXX finally approved. Should you register .XXX?
(21/03/2011 1:43 pm).XXX was finally approved by ICANN on March 18 after seven years back and forth. .XXX is the official top level domain for the Adult industry.
It will be launched inside the next months, and we recommmend that you register your .XXX to protect your trademarks. In the sunrise phase for special rights by registering your .XXX you will block the use of the given .XXX. Abuse of brand names has historically come especially from the adult industry, so it makes good sense to register your .XXX in time.
If you are a trademark owner and simply want to block your trademarks as .xxx, so no one else can use them, then thiw will be possible. Simply order your .xxx domains and we will submit your applications, when the Sunrise phase for special rights open. The price is Eur 150,- for a 1 year registration.
If you are from the adult industry, then you can register your trademarks and existing matching domains as .xxx. If there are several applicants for the same name, then an auction will be held.
If you do not have any special rights but simply want to register a .xxx domain, then we will submit it in the General Availability phase, which is open for all.
