How can I get an epp code?

You need to request the epp code from your current registrar. They will then email it to the registrant email address.

China: .cn opens up for individuals again

.CN has been reopened for individual registrants. China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) just announced that they have revised the rules on .cn domain name registrations. From today “any individual or organization that can bear independently civil liabilities, has the right to apply for the domain registration under the implementing rules.”

More than 3.3 million .cn domains have been registered over time making it the 7th largest country code top level domain in the world. Just a few years ago, .cn was on its way to become the most popular ccTLD, however China due to abuse of the top level domain (to stop spam, phishing, adult content) CNNIC banned foreign registrants and individuals from controlling .cn domains.

the following documentation is required to register a .cn domain name:

1) ID material of applicant; Business certificate, personal ID
2) ID material of the contact of domain name registration; Personal ID
3) Other materials required by CNNIC.
